AUB Payments & Settlements

The ‘Payment System’ refers to the arrangements/ system which allows our customers to transfer the funds within and outside the bank (outside includes both domestic and international transfers). 

The Payment system covers below facilities

1- Doorstep Banking

 Doorstep banking is a facility provided to the customers at their doorsteps so that they are not required to pay visit to the Bank for basic banking services activities like cash deposit, cash withdrawal and cheque deposit.

The cash-based transactions (deposit and withdrawals) are being performed at the registered place of the customers at minimal cost, governing the value of transaction.

Requirement for Door Step Banking:

  • The customer must have an active account with AUB.
  • The customer should agree for doorstep banking with terms and conditions including charges, as specified by the Bank.
  • The address for doorstep banking should be registered with the Bank.

2- Telegraphic Transfer

The term “telegraphic transfers” refers to the domestic and international money transfers made from account holder of the Bank to the destined beneficiary through wire system.

Outward Telegraphic Transfer:

1 - Outward Domestic Telegraphic Transfer: The facility provided by AUB to its account holders for the interbank transfers among the banks within the country.

2 - Outward International Telegraphic Transfer:

the facility provided by AUB to its account holders for transfers to their beneficiaries outside the country/ worldwide (international transfers) though safe and secure international system of SWIFT. The funds are transferred through network of correspondent banks and intermediary banks.

 

Inward Telegraphic Fund Transfer:

1- Inward Domestic Telegraphic Transfer: Is the service provided by AUB to its account holders for receiving remittance from other local banks within the country.

2 - Inward International Fund transfer: Is the service provided by AUB to its account holders for receiving remittances from banks outside the country through SWIFT.

  • The Remittance can be done within the country and outside the country (worldwide)
  • Less fee/ charges
  • Smooth and fast
  • Controlled and secure

3- Pay As per ID

AUB facilitates its customers to manage their business activities, specifically cash based interventions where AUB does not have physical branches. Such extended facilities are being performed through effective network of its sub agents. AUB has its sub agents across all the districts/ provinces of the country.

This unique service enables our customers to perform cash-based transactions through permissible IDs (Tazkira, passport, ID card or telephone number etc.)

  • Services available in all the provinces and districts of Afghanistan

4- Standing Instructions

Standing Order (or Standing Instruction) is an instruction from an account holder ("the payer") to pay a pre specified amount at regular intervals/ frequency to another's ("the payee's") account.

The amount is being debited from Payer’s account on the designated / due date and credited to the Payee’s account instantly.

5- Tax Payments

Afghan United Bank facilitates the customers to pay their taxes/custom duties at any of the branch locations with and without holding account with AUB.

The Tax payment facility enables the customers to make the tax/custom duties at very reasonable charges and convenience of time.

6- MoneyGram

Afghan United Bank is the sole authorized partner of MoneyGram International INC to facilitate the international remittances across the borders, both inward and outward.

Through MoneyGram, the customers can send/receive Money with their National ID (Tazkira) or Passport in much faster way and less documentation. The system is very safe and secure with ease of processing the transaction. The facility is extended at very less charges/ fee as compared to unorganized market.

The service is extended by all the branches of the Bank and its sub agents.

7- Salary Payments

Afghan United Bank facilitates the corporate customers to transfer the salaries of their staff (within AUB or accounts maintained with other local Banks) at reasonable service charges. the customers can pay their staff salaries to staff accounts within 24 hours.

Afghan United Bank also facilitates the corporates to pay their staff salaries who do not have bank accounts or based at locations where Bank does not have its branch through Pay as per IDs system of AUB.

8- Electricity Bill Payments

All the branches of Afghan United Bank facilitate the customers to make payments of their electricity bills.

The utility bill payment can be made in cash or by transfer.

9- Cheque Collection

Afghan United Bank facilitates the customers to deposit and collect the local and international cheques into their account.

10- Water Bill Payment

All the branches of Afghan United Bank have been enabled for the collection of bills against water usage.

Both the internal customers & walk in customers can avail the bill collection facility from any of the Bank branches.
